The message says the product key "is for the volume-licensed version" of the app, "which isn't currently installed", and tells you to contact your administrator. It appears when a volume licence key is entered into a copy of Office that isn't the volume licensed LTSC edition, such as a Microsoft 365 trial that came with the PC or a retail copy of Office Home 2024. It can also appear on a PC that has a mix of Office installations.
Your key isn't the problem. Office LTSC 2024 has to be installed with the Office Deployment Tool before the key can activate it.
What to do
  1. Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps and search for Office and for Microsoft 365. Uninstall every entry except Office LTSC Professional Plus 2024 or Office LTSC Standard 2024. If neither of those is listed, the PC has a different edition of Office installed.
  2. Restart the PC.
  3. Install Office LTSC 2024 with the Office Deployment Tool, as described in Install Office 2024 Professional Plus or Standard. Use the Product ID that matches your key, ProPlus2024Volume for Professional Plus or Standard2024Volume for Standard.
  4. Check the licences on the PC with ospp.vbs and remove any that belong to other products, as described in Office shows an older version or a different product.
When the key is for the other edition
A Professional Plus key doesn't activate Standard, and a Standard key doesn't activate Professional Plus. When the key and the installed product don't match, activation can fail with the code 0xC004F069, which Microsoft describes as the product SKU not being found. Check which edition your delivery email names, then check that the Product ID in your configuration file is the same edition.
