Office LTSC 2024 adds each app to the Start menu under its own name, so Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote each have their own entry, with Access as well in Professional Plus. The apps from the Office 365 Pro Account appear in Start the same way. Pinning an app to Start or to the taskbar takes a right-click.
Pin to the taskbar or Start
- Select Start and type the name of the app, such as Word.
- Right-click Word in the results.
- Choose Pin to taskbar or Pin to Start.
Repeat for each app you use.
Put a shortcut on the desktop
Open Start, go to the list of all apps, and drag Word onto the desktop. Windows creates a shortcut and leaves the app where it is.
Unpin an app
Right-click its icon on the taskbar or in Start and choose Unpin from taskbar or Unpin from Start. The app stays installed.
If an app is missing from Start
Search for it from Start first. If it doesn't appear, check which product you installed. Access is only in Office 2024 Professional Plus and the Office 365 Pro Account, Outlook isn't included in the Office 365 Pro Account, and an app left out with an ExcludeApp line in the configuration file isn't installed at all. Where are Publisher and Access explains which apps each product includes.
