How ordering and delivery work
From checkout to the email with your product key and setup steps

Everything we sell is delivered by email. Once your payment is confirmed, we send your product key, account details or activation details, with the setup instructions, to the email address you gave at checkout. Most orders arrive within an hour, and the longest delivery takes is 24 hours from payment confirmation, weekends and public holidays included. Nothing is posted, and delivery is free.
Placing an order
- Open the product in our shop and read its product page. The page sets out the edition, the system requirements, the licence type and how the product activates.
- Add the product to your basket and go to the checkout.
- Enter an email address you can open straight away. Your order is sent to that address, so check it for typing mistakes before you pay.
- Pay with one of the payment options shown at checkout. To see prices in your own currency, choose US dollars, pounds sterling, Canadian dollars, euros or Australian dollars from the currency menu at the top of our website.
What happens after you pay
Straight after payment you receive an order confirmation. It's a receipt, and it doesn't contain your product. The delivery email follows as a separate message, with your key, account details or activation details, the download information and the installation and activation steps.
We release an order once the payment is confirmed. A payment that is still pending, or a card authorisation on its own, doesn't count as confirmed. Now and then a payment or security check holds an order back. If we need anything from you, we write to the email address on the order, and the time a check takes still counts towards the 24 hours.
If we can't deliver within 24 hours of payment confirmation, we tell you, cancel the order and refund it in full, unless you agree to a later date.
Before you order
Check that the product matches the computer it's for. Office for Windows doesn't run on a Mac, Office for Mac doesn't run on Windows, and Windows 11 Pro needs a PC that meets Microsoft's Windows 11 requirements.
